Paddleboarding is a rapidly growing part of Paddlesport and is open to any age and ability, you don't even have to stand up to have a bit of fun. Once you get confident you can SUP on most inland waterways which are included in British Canoeing membership. SUP is governed by British Canoeing which ensures that Rugby Canoe Club (RCC) as a 'Quality' mark club can deliver excellent SUP Coaching.
RCC has a number of SUP coaches who can help you learn the basics of Paddleboarding, support your development through the BC qualifications and allow you to paddle on Sheltered water, Open water and test your skills on White Water.
There is a group of active stand up paddleboarders who have paddled on the Avon, Derwent at Matlock, the Wye including Symmonds Yat, the Dee in North Wales and the Tees in County Durham.
The club has 4 Boards to hire to members at the normal day rates.
